Amazon Prime is probably one of the best gifts you can buy a new mum. As a new mum you can often feel isolated. You are exhausted from being up through the night with a baby. Your mobility might be restricted too, particularly if you’ve had a cesarean section. Amazon Prime makes your life easier and as a new mum I found it invaluable. I recommend it to everyone now. It’s the best £7.99 you can spend every month in my review.
But why? Here are my top 3 reasons (there are so many more!)
Company during late nights
Amazon Prime gives you access to thousands of TV programmes and movies, without any additional rental fees. Yes you can pay extra for some new releases, but on the whole I’ve never felt the need to buy any additional add ons. Within my £7.99 monthly subscription, I have exclusive TV programmes as well as films, everything from bingeworthy boxsets to films for kids. When you are up late at night with a baby that doesn’t sleep, or doing nightfeeds, this is a life saver.
CHEAPER THAN OTHER SATELLITE OR SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES
Having a baby is expensive, so any way you can reduce your bills is desirable. We immediately saved money when Small Boy was born by cancelling our satellite subscription and moving to PAYG streaming services. Many offer free trials, including Amazon Prime. By combining trials like Amazon, NOW TV or Netflix, you can get free access to streaming channels and weigh up which ones work for you. We have a combination now and it still works out cheaper than our regular satellite subscription was and we get three times the content!
NEXT DAY DELIVERY
This was huge for me, especially as I couldn’t drive for six weeks after I had my son. I wish I’d realised beforehand how a cesarean would affect me and the things I could do to make my life easier. Thankfully I found Amazon Prime pretty quickly! Prime offers next day delivery on thousands of Amazon products. This was brilliant when I needed something relatively quickly, and the range of items in stock is far greater than most high street stores. Let’s face it, even if you can drive, nobody wants to be carrying lots of bags and pushing a new born in a pram. It’s just awkward and not very practical. Why bother when you can get things delivered straight to your door for free?
These aren’t just great reasons for new mums to get an Amazon Prime subscription, it’s great value for everyone. Click on the link below to sign up for a free trial and see what you think. I’d be lost without mine personally.
